A surprising trade occured today that will make a major change to three NBA line ups and create new homes for several players.
The biggest names in this trade are probably Gilbert Arenas and Vince Carter; though it is not a surprise that Gilbert Arenas was seeking a new home after his recent troubled time in Washington.
Here is a overwiev of every time and who they received:
Orlando Magic receive:
Gilbert Arenas
Hedo Turkoglu
Jason Richardson
Earl Clark

Lakers trade Vujacic
The Lakers now have officially traded long time shooting guard Sasha "The Machine" Vujacic, to save money and keep their exception.
Vujacic was part of a three team deal, that sent him to New Jersey along with a first round pick for Terrence Williams who goes to Houston. Joe Smith will be headed to LA.
Los Angeles has been eager to trade Vujacic for a while now, since he is getting 5.5 million Dollars this season. The trade will give him a lot of minutes in the Nets rotation, since Anthony Morrow just got injured and will be out for 2-4 weeks. And with Williams now in Houston, Vujacic is one of the premier options at the shooting guard position for the Nets.

Injury Report Update 12/03/2010
Martell Webster - Minnesota Timberwolves
After numerous different injuries Martell Webster is finally able to go to full scrimmage again. Last year he had a decent season in Portland and the T´wolves expected him to hurt opponents with his versatile game and three point shooting. Expect him to slowly start of the bench for now.
Joe Johnson - Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks star shooting guard will have to undergo elbow surgery and will miss about 4-6 weeks. A big setback for the Hawks. Look for Crawfor to gain a lot more minutes.
Johnny Flynn - Minnesota Timberwolves
Just like Webster, he finally returned to full contact practice and will make his debut on friday in the D-League. If he passes this test, expect him to return next week to the NBA.
Carlos Boozer - Chicago Bulls
The long expected return of Carlos Boozer might happen this wednesday against the Orlando Magic. He broke his arm during the preseason. He will probably return pretty quick to starting line up minutes.
Kendrick Perkins - Boston Celtics
The Celtics big man still has a lot of work to do but they eye a return in february. He is dealing with recovery from a knee injury he received in the last finals, resulting in major knee surgery.

Reggie Evans out 8 weeks
A huge blow to the Raptors´ rebounding. They lose their best Rebounder and probably one of the top 10 rebounders in the league due to a broken foot.
He started 15 games so far and collected 12.1 rebounds in just 27.3 minutes per game.
Joey Dorsey and Amir Johnson will probably now get more minutes and share those at the Center position.

Hornets and Raptors exchange players in Trade
HoopsHype and Sport24 report that the NBA cleared a trade between the New Orleans Hornets and the Toronto Raptors.
In that deal, the Hornets would sent Peja Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless to the Raptors and the Raptors would sent Jarret Jack, David Anderson and Marcus Banks to the Hornets.

Brandon Jennings would play overseas
In a statement to the possible lockout that could occur next season, Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks said, he would like to return to Europe in that case. After his high school time, he went to Rome, Italy for 1 year instead of going to an NCAA college.
Cap master Larry Coon told hoopsworld, that Jennings aim, such as the aim of plenty of other NBA athletes, might never be realized.
Every NBA player that decides to play for a european team, has to be cleared by the FIBA, via a letter of clearence. And since the FIBA and NBA have a very bad relationship with one another, this could stand in its way.
Even though it could give the game of basketball overseas a huge boost - in attendance and skill - the FIBA will play all its options during a possible lockout.

Iverson receiving warm welcome in Istanbul
Allen Iverson has not played a game yet, but he is already a superstar and a hero in Turkey. He is getting the excitement, respect and cheering that he probably missed for a while during his on and off struggles in the last 6 months.
First he received a special introduction (comparisons were made to the Heat-trio-introduction) just for him:
Then days later during a soccer match of Besiktas, the whole stadium started to chant his name:
He was expected to play last weekend but decided not to, because he did not feel 100 percent ready. Expect him to start tomorrow in the Eurocup for his first game away from the NBA against a Serbian team Hemofarm Vrsac with their own almost NBA player from this years Draft class (Jerome Jordan - Knicks have the rights for him).

Kevin Love´s historic night
In last nights win over the Knicks, Minnesotas Forward Kevin Love played a historic performance, grabbing 31 rebounds and scoring 31 points. 15 of those 31 came just in the third quarter! He seemed to be all over the paint and just proved why he should be on every fantasy basketball roster and why he should be regarded as one of the top 5 rebounders in the league!
Not only were his 31 rebounds a franchise record, but it was the first 30-30 game since Moses Malone did it in 1982.
"My dad always said if you can't get close enough to the basket throw it up there and get the rebound like Moses Malone."- said Kevin Love after the game referring to the fact, that Malone was the last one with such a game.
Check out his great performance:

Early Rookie Watch
Here are my Top 5 Rookies so far early in to the season.
1. John Wall - Washington Wizards
So far he is excelling all the expectations. Double-Doubles and last Night even a Triple-Double. He is getting 40 minutes per game and paying it back with 19.3 ppg. His great speed with and without the ball is giving him great advantages in the open court, that he was able to use in great fashion so far. It has been a long time since there has been a confident and leading rookie like that. It also shows in his 10.2 Assissts per game, that lift up the numbers for guys like Al Thornton who are benefiting from his great dishes. The only thing he needs to work on are his Turnovers. Sure, the longer you carry the ball overall in a game, the more you are going to lose it, still needs to protect the ball a little bit more!

2.Blake Griffin - Los Angeles Clippers
He is using his second chance Rookie opportunity and is looking completely healthy. Showing great athleticism and moves in the paint. Hinting great potential to become a dominant force under the basket in the future. Also getting a lot of minutes (35.5), scoring well 16.5 ppg and leading the Rookies in Rebounds with 10 per game.
3.DeMarcus Cousins - Sacramento Kings
Probably one of the toughest guys in this draft class. He shines with his great heart and also with his ability to grab Rebounds every night (5.9 per game). He is scoring well (11.1 ppg) in just about 20 minutes per game. If he wants to get more playing time in this Sacramento Line-Up, he will have to limit his personal Fouls (Leading Rookies with 4.3 per game)!
4.Derrick Favors - New Jersey Nets
He is slowly adapting to the NBA game and coach Avery Johnson is using him and his minutes wisely. Game after game he improved in his open court and post game. He knows how to score (8.8ppg) abut his best attribute is the work on the glass (7.3 per game) and his ability to get second chance points. Expect his playing time to go up frequently as soon as he gets more comfortable with Johnson´s gameplan (20 minutes per game).
5.Landry Fields - New York Knicks
One of the surprising Rookies - so far. He won the starting Shooting Guard Spot for the first few games over Wilson Chandler. Already in Summer League he hinted, that he would probably be the best 2nd Round Pick from this years draft. Playing efficient (8.9ppg) , quick and versatile, a great fit for D´Antonis ofense. D´Antoni likes his good shot selection (56% from the field) and his good rebounding (5.30) for a guy who plays at the two.
But you will have to wait and see if he can continue to play at this pace and if his minutes stay up as soon as Kelenna Azubuike gets back (25 minutes per game) .

Lakers Rookies could be in D-League soon
Phil Jackson said on Sunday that he would like Devin Ebanks and Derrick Caracter earn more experience in the D-League. Ebanks and Caracter both showed off their potential and already had playing time under Jackson, but do not seem to be ready for the Lakers game yet. Both also impressed critics during the summer league, especially Caracter with his fearless game in the paint. It will probably take until Andrew Bynum gets back from his injury, in the meantime Caracter will still get some minutes as a role player. After that the two should spent the remainder of the season developing the in the D-League.
“I’m hitting the gym late at night, trying to understand the offense and making the most of each 15 seconds or 15 miintues I get,” Caracter said.

Dorell Wright breaking out
He is 24 years old and in his 6th season. A NBA veteran, in his Miami days not more than a role player. Averaging 6.6pts in 204 career games. Probably the best thing that ever happened in his career, was his move to Golden State this summer. His numbers are literally exploding, he is becoming a fantasy owners dream and he is lifting the Warriors´ Offensive oriented game up.
In his first 4 games he 20.5 pts in 50% shooting and unbelievable 54.5% from three point territory. In yesterdays win over Memphis he even knocked down 7 of them. No doubt why he is getting that many minutes, while also rebounding and sharing the ball.
If you are a Fantasy owner, pick him up as long as he is out there!

Rodney Stuckey refuses to play
It happened in yesterdays loss to Atlanta, when coach John Kuester called in Stuckey in the third quarter and he refused to play. DeJuan Summers went in to the game instead.
The team is now 0-5 and rumours that they are breaking apart does not seem like a rumour anymore. A big trading block, financial uncertainties and beefs with the coach are just a few examples.
Recently Tayshaun Prince, who is usually a very laid back guy, had a heated argument with Kuester. Now Stuckey is going one step further.
Kuester did not comment on it and Stuckey only said : "It is what it is."
Do not expect a lot, but more drama from the Pistons locker room this season.

Pistons looking for a big man
The Pistons defensive end has been struggling. Not since yesterday. It has been a long time since Ben Wallace dominated the paint, blocking shots left and right. Ben Wallace is on Detroits Roster, but he is getting older and his game is not the same. Jason Maxiell and Charlie Villanueva can play some defense aswell, but nothing that could stop a high caliber offensive squad. There has been no improvement for a while now under the glass.
That is going to be the reason why the Pistons are desperately seeking a trade to get a quality big men. The two top names mentioned are Chris Kaman and Josh Smith. Kaman could be a good fit, but its doubtful that the Clippers will give away there big men who is starting to flourish with Rookie Blake Griffin. They will probably let go of Tayshaun Prince or Richard Hamilton, who were already included in rumours during the summer.
Josh Smith would be another probable candidate. The Hawks will have to eye their players salaries and whether they can afford so many well played guys. Bringing in a round pick and one or two guys from Michigan might give them some breathing room towards the luxury tax in the future. The Pistons are set, they are only waiting for a response.

Parker signs 4 year extension
The speculation is over, its now all settled and done. Tony Parker will remain for the next 4 years in San Antonio. The contract is worth about 50 million dollars.
There have been rumours about the star point guard, he said his top priority was to stay in San Antonio, other reports connected him to the Knicks in free agency next summer.
His wife (Eva Longoria) a Texas native and he are happy about his decision: I didn't mind playing through the year and be a free agent," Parker said. "But it was my first option and for my wife was to stay in San Antonio."
It is probably the last chance for the big three to win a championship. Parker played his entire career with the Spurs, after joining them in the age of 19, beeing a big part of the 3 championship during this time, winning the Finals MVP in 2007.
Though they are considered as possibly to old and runned down, the Spurs should be still viewed as a threat in the West, they are definetely going to make the Playoffs and besides Parker, Ginobili and Duncan, they have young talented players, like Blair and Splitter, who are working on taking on the post-Duncan-era.
"It's home here," Parker said. "I love being with Pop. I love being with Timmy and Manu. I'm happy to keep the adventure going with them."

The first days in to the new season..
4 days now into season there is no way you can sent out any predictions, still i have seen players, plays that make me feel, like this year could be really special and have plenty of surprises and upsets waiting for us!
Rajon Rondo
3 Games - 50 assists and last night a triple double. He continues where he left of last season, becoming one of the most dominant Point Guards in the league. If you don´t look at his long range shot, he is probably within the top 5 toughest guys to guard in the NBA.
Expect him to have a magnificant if he stays healthy and opponent getting desperate trying to stop his passing flow.
Wilson Chandler
Receiving a blow by beeing degraded to the bench, loosing his starting spot 2nd round pick Landry Fields. He responded with great confidence in his game, carrying the Knicks to two very close games and one win, where he was the best man on the court. If he continues to play like this, expect him to have career bests this season.
Glen Davis
The "Big Baby" shined bright in the Celtics first three games. He brought tremendous energy to the game, was fearless in the paint and contributed great numbers. With Perkins still sidelined he is getting a lot of minutes, and he is using them very well so far!
He might get strong considerations for the 6th man award, if he can keep his game up.
Toronto Raptors
Doomed to be one of the worst teams this season, they played pretty good openers so far. Reggie Evans and Andrea Bargnani were strong in the paint and the self-called "Young Guns" acted like a team on the court, showing good chemistry and nice up-tempo basketball. Expect the unexpected watching the Raptors. Though the playoffs might be out of reach for them, they will show some nice offensive basketball this year.
Chris Bosh
He used to be the go-to-guy in Toronto. Bursting confidence. In Miami he is a big piece to a puzzle. He still has to make adjustments and Lebron James has to make adjustments to play with a team that has equal parts - he has to pass the ball more. Chris Bosh´s comments about getting more exposure were no sign of frustration, it was constructive criticism that should be taking seriously. He took bad shots, because he didnt get good passes. The Heat will be much more feared if they can involve Chris Bosh more to the game.

Chandler is D´Antonis 6th man - for now
After a pretty surprising move by the Knicks head coach naming Landry Fields as his starting shooting guard instead of Wilson Chandler, Chandler responded in the best way a coach could wish for.
He scored 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the win over the Raptors, even being the player of the game.
Now D´Antoni might stick to this kind of rotation, letting Fields start and bringing Chandler off the bench. His major issue last year was his inconsistency and his open look shots. If he can stabilize in those areas, he might get his starting spot back, or he might even start feeling comfortable with his situation right now...

Iverson signs 2 year deal with Besiktas Istanbul
Now its official. Allen Iversons Management gave out a statement that he will spent the next and maybe last two years as a active basketball player overseas in Istanbul.
Reportedly the contract is worth 4 million Dollars with bonus payments.
He is expected to sign the contract on monday in New York and his first game is scheduled to be on November 8th.
This is more than probably the end of Iversons NBA career.

Landry Fields wins Knicks starting shooting guard spot
Surprise for the opener. Rookie Landry Fields will get the starting job for the opening night against the Raptors.
Since D´Antoni did not have a sure decision between Douglas/Walker/Chandler he decided to try out the very impressive Rookie Landry Fields. He put on great numbers in the Summer League and showed of great versatility during the preaseason.
Don´t expect him to be at the starting spot all season long, since the rotation might change in the next few games. It might also be a motivation for the other contestors to step up to their game before another shooting guard in Kelenna Azubuike gets back to full practice.

Wade cleared to play at the Opener
Dwyane Wade, who left the preseason opener with a strained hamstring, returned to practice on saturday and is ready to play in tonights opener against the Boston Celtics. That means "The Big 3" will be healthy and ready to take on the season after one of the buzziest off seasons in NBA history.
Wade told Foxsportsflorida "Im feeling good and Im happy we got the band back together".
Injuries were bugging the Heat throughout the preseason. Lebron had to sit out a game and Mike Miller wont be back until January. Therefore the signing of Jerry Stackhouse, who will earn minutes at the two.
Everything is pointing to a great showdown in the opener between the Heat and the Celtics. Two possible Conference finalists.

Bayless gets tradeded to the Hornets for first round pick
(AP) -- The New Orleans Hornets have acquired point guard Jerryd Bayless from the Portland Trail Blazers for a conditional future first-round pick.
The deal Saturday gives Bayless a chance to back up All-Star Chris Paul and reunites him with new Hornets coach Monty Williams, an assistant in Portland the last two seasons.
Bayless was taken by Indiana with the No. 11 pick in the 2008 draft and traded to Portland in a draft-day trade. He made 11 starts last season, averaging 12.6 points, and has scored 6.8 points per game for his career.

Iverson about to sign with Besiktas
Its looking like it. Allen Iverson who was unable to ink a deal in the NBA, then was connected to a deal in China, is now closing in to a 1 year contract with Besiktas Istanbul worth 2 Million Dollars and Bonus payments.
"Iverson wants to play for us in Istanbul" , said Besiktas General Manager Seref Yalcin in an Interview. He is going to fly to the US this friday, to talk to Iverson and he is very optimistic and confident about him signing with his club.
Even Iverson´s Agent Gary Moore was quoted : "We are in very seriou negotiations with Istanbul, and as far as what we have seen, Istanbul is wonderful. Allen wants to play again."
Its looking like the all-time 17th NBA scoring leader (24.368 pts.) is going to leave the US for the Bosporus. It would be the biggest NBA Star to ever play European basketball.

Nate Robinson and Rajon Rondo "Doubleteam" Shaq
Watch how Rajon Rondo and Nate Robinson team up to give the word "doubleteam" a new meaning..
Starting Shooting Guard for New York
Days away from the opening night the Knicks still have to fill their starting shooting guard line-up spot.
Yet it looked like Wilson Chandler might make the race, but his inconsistency is having its toll on him. Then Toney Douglas looked like the front runner for the spot, the NY Daily News reported. He sparkled with good, consistend outings, beeing versatile and sharing the ball, along with Raymond Felton. Now sources say, even Bill Walker could get a shot. After coming to New York, before the Deadline last year, he lived up to his High-School Reputation, showing athleticism and the right skills for D´Antonis Run-n-Gun offense.
When the ball drops again for the Knicks on Wednesday against the Raptors, noone really knows who will be their guy at the two. Not even D´Antoni. He will probably mix it up and wait the first 10 games to see, who fits best into his offense. The three of them will probably have to share plenty of minutes, while i personally thing Wilson Chandler will have an advantage due to his versatile playing style that allows him to play 3 different positions.

Blazers sign Oberto
Forced by multiple injuries to their bigmen, the Portland Trail Blazers signed veteran Fabricio Oberto to a 1 year deal.
He received offers from Europe this offseason, but was desperately looking for an NBA offer. He brings championship experience to the team, but don´t expect a lot of minutes from him, as soon as Oden or Przybilla returns.

Heat sign Stackhouse
Due to Mike Millers injury, the Miami Heat have signed Jerry Stackhouse to an undisclosed contract.
Stackhouse, who turns 36 next month, averaged 8.5 points in 42 games as a reserve with the Milwaukee Bucks last season.
It will be his 16th season and earlier this offseason he already stated that he would like to sign with the Miami Heat if they would make him an offer. In his possibly final season, it looks like a final hunt for the championship he has never won yet.
